Axiomatic Editions is a publishing platform that locates its interests at the intersection of art, architecture, and design. We recognize media as a conduit for culture and elevate the content of books and other forms of publication to ensure their impact on contemporary discourse.
Understanding that books are constructs of material, technique, and information that record, interpret, and re-present culture, Axiomatic Editions integrates a diverse range of collaborators and content creators—artists, authors, editors, designers, photographers, lithographers, printers, and bookbinders—to invent culturally stimulating content. This content takes form through the careful calibration of ideas, material, and design to create publications of the highest standards. A hands-on approach leads to objets d’art that embrace innovation at each stage, from ideation to the crafts of printing and binding.
Axiomatic Editions builds on the imprint Applied Research and Design Publishing or AR+D. Established in 2014, AR+D publishes and distributes work that negotiates theory and practice within the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, and design. Axiomatic Editions expands this scope beyond applied design to art and other creative disciplines.
